If you are busty, you might enjoy this. But if you are B or A cup, forget it. Even in size small. I am not tiny - 5’7”, 132 lb - but the size small balloons around me.

I have had the featherweight vest in blue, size small for a couple of years. I love it so much, I wanted to get it in black, which is more practical. Featherweight was sold out in black/small, but lightEST was not. The fit and cut are different. Same size officially, but in actuality, the lightEST vest is bigger in the chest, which caused the armholes to stick out weirdly. It is also longer, stopping at a less flattering length, and it lacks the little side hem-vents that the featherweight version has.

Could you guys please make more of the excellent featherweight vest in black? I love that vest!

My main issue is I the length. It doesn't fit me like it does the model in the photo.

Despite having the upper body of a 6 foot tall woman meaning an extremely long torso and comparatively shorter inseam, the vest hits me a lot lower on the legs than in the photo. Essentially I'm drowning in this vest.

The vest is great quality, really good zippers, the pocket liners are lightweight but very strong. It's extremely practical with the pockets and when it is empty it fits me quite large, but when I fill the pockets: the size chart is very accurate in terms of body width. TRUST THE SIZE CHART!

But I don't like to wear it because it is too long for comfort and restricts me from taking good sized steps when I am hiking or climbing big stairs like from the platform on to a train. I have to keep it open in order to take these bigger or longer strides, and when the vest is loaded with gear it becomes quite uncomfortable to wear unzipped.

I'd like a shorter length version.

I had long ditched my stiff, heavy cotton , oversized poorly fitting safari vest of over 25 years during a massive COVID-19 closet clearing. I’d been on a search for the best woman’s lightweight travel vest with adequate but not an overload of pockets to match. Also, I wanted it to look somewhat fashionable. Lo and behold Scott e Vest came right up in my recent internet search. I like the straightforward approach. All the details, product photos / videos, features etc. We’re listed. I found the size guide accurate. I read copious reviews. I’m petite but have broad shoulders so I sized up to medium. The vest fits my shoulders perfectly. Just the right number of pockets as not to feel and look overloaded and secure and closures for safe keeping. I really like the addition of RFID in one of the inner chest pockets. I purchased the black color. I will be wearing it on safari’s, travel and more. The look is classic and the feel of the material soft with no unsightly wrinkles. I pre washed the vest as one reviewer recommended; no color bleed or transfer issues when washed for real and worn. I do have two recommendations:

I am short 4’11” - 5’. The length is 2-3 inches longer. It is me, it is not the fault of the vest. It’s not a problem when standing but sitting will most likely involve hiking it up. Not an issue, of course, if I leave it unzipped but that puts a damper on the security aspect in crowds. Perhaps a shorter version offering or short side zippers. …

I found the vest to be good for travel, with pockets for the things I needed to be handy when traveling through airports. It was also easy to just toss the vest in the bin for scanning and no need to empty pockets. I doubt I will use some of the inner pocket items and frankly found them to be a little annoying (the elastic to hold a water bottle in place for example) but if I find them to be of no use over time I can just cut them out I guess. Overall, I think it was a good addition to my travel attire.
