The Penny Coat is back and better than ever! One of our most popular styles, The Penny came about when we needed to solve a problem. We didn't have a coat we could wear out to dinner when the weather was cold and we were wearing something dressier than jeans. A parka just wasn't doing the trick when paired with a nice pair of slacks. After much-brainstorming, this 19 pocket wonder was born! And, since we loved it so much, we named it after Laura's childhood dog, Penny Poodle. Style, convenience, hidden pockets! This women's coat has it all.

We process and ship orders very quickly. Orders placed Monday through Friday before 11am Mountain Time will ship the same day. Orders placed after 11am Mountain Time will ship the following business day.
During the holidays, expect 1-3 day delays for ground shipping. We will do our best to ship orders with expedited shipping on our usual schedule.
Returns/Exchanges
We offer a 30 day return/exchange policy. All returns must be unwashed/unaltered and in new condition with tags still attached.
Outlet items, Final Sale items, Gift Boxes and Underwear removed from packaging cannot be returned. If your cart contains any All Sales Final items, you will be notified in checkout prior to completing your order.
Domestic Shipments
We ship orders via UPS. Ground shipping is free for orders over $200 and $8 for orders under $200. We offer UPS expedited shipping with our discounted real time rates to your address. UPS Next Day Air orders shipped on Friday will be delivered on Monday. Saturday delivery is available for some addresses at an additional cost. If you would like Saturday delivery, please contact our Customer Service Team.
International Shipments
We ship international orders via UPS and the US Postal Service. Click the flag icon for detailed information about shipping to your country. International shipping costs are determined by the shipper and are based on the shipping address and weight of the package. For US Postal Service (USPS) shipments, the shipment will be transferred to your local postal service when it reaches your country. To determine shipping and related costs before placing an order, enter the products you wish to order in your cart and begin the checkout process (you do not need to complete the order to see this information).
Please note: International shipping costs do NOT include duties, tariffs or related brokerage fees. You will need to pay any duties/taxes upon delivery. You can contact your local customs office for an estimate of these fees. SCOTTeVEST will not refund costs for items purchased or shipping charges if a customer refuses to pay these fees.

- It is in new condition
- It has not been washed, worn or altered
- Hangtags are still attached
- An RMA number is included with the merchandise (Click here to obtain RMA number)
- It is returned according to the schedule below

For returns, you are responsible for paying the shipping to return the item(s) to our warehouse. For exchanges, you are responsible for paying the shipping to get the original garment sent to our warehouse and we will pay the ground shipping cost to send the exchange to you for domestic orders. For international orders, you will be responsible for the return shipping on your exchange as well as the shipment cost for the exchanged item.

I bought a 2nd ScotteVest coat a size larger than needed. My previous style I purchased fits well until I start packing the pockets. I cannot zip it up the front zipper once I packed the pockets. I could not justify buy the "same" style for my "chipmunk" pocket flight packing habits; therefore, I purchased the Penny Coat - a size larger than needed. I have taken 1 business trip using this coat. The size "larger" than needed for packing pockets works much better for me traveling and packing my pockets with passport, charging cord, phone, snacks, and toothbrush (I'm sure I have more in the pockets than this - but gives you an idea of my chipmunk packed pockets.) This style has a less pockets - which I rather missed the pocket on the "back" panel which I stashed a slim bill fold with a few extra $$ for emergency or in case my purse gets stolen (or so the husband does not know I have more $$ than he thinks). This style has a hood which is nice especially when I headed to the airport and landed in the rain. This style is longer in length - I'm short, so a bit too long for me, but not a real issue or a deal breaker. Coat hangs well past my butt which actually helps to hide my chunky butt. I really don't think you can go wrong with any style you choose - especially if you travel. It's really a lot nicer having your "essentials" in your coat pockets verses trying to find/dig for everything in your backpack traveling. I bought the Penny Coat for travel, but after getting it, I have been wearing it almost every day. The quality of the material and multiple pockets is amazing! This is not a soft flimsy windbreaker, it has a beautiful matte finish to the fabric and although somewhat structured, it is totally comfortable sitting in the car, and on an airplane for extended travel. The hood has a zipper, and so handy for our Ohio winters of rain and snow. I have been wearing a down vest and wool scarf underneath for extra cold days. At night for going out, it looks refined and not sporty at all.
The best part is, I have been leaving my purse at home, as I can fit my wallet, keys ( sewn in lanyard) and sunglasses in the pockets. On planes, I can also add in my Kindle, ID, and boarding pass. The hardest part is remembering where you stored everything, as there are so many available pockets.
I bought the black in Small. I’m 5’4” and 124 pounds. With the down vest and somewhat full pockets, it’s a tighter zip, but totally wearable. If I were stuffing the pockets and wearing a vest , I may want the Medium.
I absolutely love this coat.
