Water-resistant vs. Waterproof

A garment that is water resistant is treated with a finish that is resistant but not impervious to penetration by water, while a garment that is waterproof is covered or treated with a material to prevent permeation by water. Finetex® is waterproof material, but please note that all of the seams are not sealed.
