We are expanding our innovative, service-driven team to continue our focus on exceptional products and online experience for our customers -- the reason for our success. We prefer individuals who bring experience from the active outdoor garment or product industry, and who have good, if not great knowledge of the direct-to-consumer E-commerce model. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is a minimum requirement along with relevant experience to the skill level and results needed for the position.

Our work environment is super fast-paced and we attract bright, accomplished, energetic people who are both creative and efficient. Customer Service Representative

You are the front line for managing customer service requests received through phone, mail, live chat, email, or web, and we are building the best team in the area! SCOTTEVEST (www.scottevest.com) is the world's most innovative travel clothing company, based in Ketchum/Sun Valley, Idaho. We are famous for the many hidden pockets found in all of our clothing, and for our patented Personal Area Network (PAN) that manages headphone wires in jackets, vests, shirts, and hoodies. As a leader in our industry and due to our fantastic location, we have close ties to the outdoor industry as well. We are one of the first clothing lines launched online, have been selling direct-to-consumers on the web for the past ten years, and were recently named one of Internet Retailer Magazine's Hot 100.

We are building out our team to handle all the standard CS tasks and more, like processing orders, contacting customers and handling cases. BUT, we are also pro-active and have a great program to reach out to our customers to ensure they receive the personal attention they deserve. We are committed to providing world-class service, and our Customer Service department is at the heart of that commitment.

To get it done, you will need to be a great communicator, a great listener, very detail oriented and "get" what our brand is all about. A Bachelor's degree and the right attitude for the job is needed, along with the ability to work through problems with customers in a constructive manner. Our business is based online, so knowing your way around a computer (email, live chat) and being comfortable on the phone is very important.

Benefits: At SCOTTEVEST, we understand that our past accomplishments and future achievements are directly connected to the individual successes of our people. We focus on the people in our company and have get together lunches every Friday, in-house boot camps, massages and POWDER DAYS when we get at least 8 inches of snow. B2B Customer Service/Sales Representative

95% of our business is conducted direct to the consumer via our ecommerce website (www.SCOTTEVEST.com), and you will be solely responsible for the other 5%+. We have relationships with dozens of stores across the US (and a few outside the US) who carry a selection of our products. These are travel and luggage stores, boutique shops and specialty retail locations, and we have been doing business with many of them for many years. As such, the majority of this position centers around Customer Service and not Sales. If you are a sales professional accustomed to passing off accounts to other people to manage, this position is NOT for you.

There are three categories of tasks for which you will be responsible:

  • Supporting our current accounts with general Customer Service, regular check-ins and follow-ups, creating and sending weekly/monthly B2B emails, fielding questions from accounts, updating records (both in Salesforce.com and paper files), and placing orders.
  • Identifying, engaging and closing new accounts. You will typically be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from generating leads to closing accounts, and all the associated account setup.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

This job will require the qualified candidate to maintain and develop SCOTTEVEST’s customer network (aka Customer Service), effectively present SCOTTEVEST’s products, and close new business.

The B2B Sales Representative duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing incredible Customer Service to our current B2B customers.
  • Achieving daily/weekly/monthly/yearly follow-up goals. There are some sales goals as well, but this is not specifically an aggressive sales position.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing customers while assisting with acquisition of new customers.
  • Providing inputs and ideas into sales and promotions, executing on these ideas and monitoring responses.
  • Preparing proposals, agreements, sales reports and presentations.
  • Contributing to the effective configuration and management of Salesforce.com and other selling tools.
  • Utilizing sales management tools in Salesforce.com to track leads and opportunities and use Salesforce.com reporting and forecasting tools to communicate to management your sales opportunities and leads.
  • Providing samples to qualified prospects, tracking, following up and getting samples returned to the company as needed.
  • Collecting, analyzing and evaluating sales data.
  • Monitoring trends and evaluating monthly sales goals.
  • Maintaining a list of store locations on the SeV website.
  • Developing and maintaining criteria for stores to receive "extras," such as POP displays, postcard campaigns, special appearances in-store by our CEO Scott Jordan, and more.
  • Assisting in the implementation of sales initiatives and trade shows. This will require some travel (3-7 days per month, several months per year).
  • Developing B2B specific campaigns and initiatives with the approval of the Marketing team.
  • Maintaining a lead and prospect pipeline and communicating it to Management.
  • Exercising good judgment in every interaction.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of Customer Service experience, B2B experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Extreme commitment to organization and detail orientation
  • Polite and persuasive communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay on top of multiple tasks and priorities
  • Be detail oriented
  • Have excellent computer systems skills
  • Did we mention that you must be very detail oriented?

Benefits: This may be either an hourly or salaried position, with an opportunity for bonuses based upon performance. At SCOTTEVEST, we understand that our past accomplishments and future achievements are directly connected to the individual successes of our people. We focus on the people in our company and have get together lunches every Friday, in-house boot camps, massages and POWDER DAYS when we get at least 8 inches of snow. Video Storyteller/Shooter/Editor/Motion Graphics w/Great Sense of Humor - Relocation Required (Sun Valley, ID)
We are SCOTTEVEST (www.scottevest.com), a clothing line famous for our tons of hidden pockets, and we are currently in a major growth phase! Even better... we're based in Sun Valley, Idaho (ski, snowboard and summer haven!). This position is based in Sun Valley, so if you're not familiar with SV and willing to relocate, read no further.

We are seeking a hilarious storyteller to join our in-house marketing team. The medium for these "stories" is video, and you will be responsible for scripting, setting up, shooting, editing and motion graphics... but while the technical skills are vital to succeeding, the mindset and talent for crafting a story is even more important. This is a very fast-paced position at a quickly growing company, and you will be joining a close-knit team who already knows the lay of the land. You MUST have a great sense of humor (and it can't just be your Mom who thinks so), be organized, creative, a fast worker and a fast learner. We appreciate the art of filmmaking, but our goals are brand and marketing driven, and we're not looking to craft artistic masterpieces (well, maybe a few). Videos will range from down-and-dirty one take videos (slap on an intro/outro > render > post) to teleprompter driven product demos with b-roll, cutaways and VO to behind-the-scenes documentary/mockumentary filming of office antics. Fair warning: we shoot A LOT on greenscreen, and although we have a pretty sweet studio setup, if you can't key cleanly and quickly you will not do well here. 99% of what we shoot is for the web, so be up on encoding, youtube posting, etc. End goal: put out videos that people NEED to pass around to all their friends... viral.

    You will need the following:

    Mindset

    • Impeccable sense of comedic timing and a GREAT sense of humor. We push the envelope - and sometimes cross the line - but that is not our focus. Infusing edgy humor without alienating shoppers is the goal.
    • Ability to take loose direction and run with it.
    • Have a knack for ingesting content and picking out key scenes to include in a polished presentation.
    • Ability to take critique and implement changes based on it. We move too fast for "compliment sandwiches" so you will need a thick skin and know that critiques are meant to achieve the ultimate goal.
    • Great work ethic. Life doesn't just happen 9-5, so there needs to be some flex in your schedule.
    • We need you to be organized at your core, not just as something you do to files. Mental organization and the ability to think things through to their logical conclusion is critical; file organization flows from that.
    • Sense of urgency. We move very fast and you need to keep up.
    • Be a communicator - we do a lot through email, and you need to be able to do so as well.

    Skills

    • Expertise in Mac editing suites from iMovie to Final Cut (Express or Pro), Live Type and After Effects/motion graphics.
    • HD filming is ~50% of the job. We have a variety of equipment, a lot of it high-end consumer or pro grade.
    • Motion graphics (and/or graphic design) experience is preferable, as well as a cool aesthetic. If you don't know motion graphics and adding text, etc. brush up on those skills.
    • Lighting experience is critical. You don't need to have awards for it, but as stated we use greenscreen a lot and it doesn't work without great lighting. We have the gear.Great work ethic. Life doesn't just happen 9-5, so there needs to be some flex in your schedule.
    • Still photography skills (products, people) are a MAJOR plus.
    • Bottom line: be well rounded. Creative brainstorming, basic scripting, know story structure inside and out, be able to light, set up basic sound, shoot, edit, render, post. Regardless of the tools, you need to be able to put together a logical, funny story from a variety of materials.

Some of Our Work and things we like (we have 1000+ videos on Youtube, so this is a very small selection)

Next step? Send us something that will make us laugh. A lot. Your portfolio/reel is more important than your resume, but send both along with a quick cover letter/note about why you are the right person for the job and your role for each production in your reel. Bonus points if that makes us laugh, too... but if we're laughing at your resume, well, that's probably not good. We are looking to fill this position immediately and have a backlog of projects to be completed, so don't delay. This can start off as project based and then evolve into fulltime.
