Chicago - November, 2002 - SCOTTeVEST
LLC introduces a new addition to the SCOTTeVEST product
line, the SCOTTeVEST
Sport Lite. Just in time for spring, the Sport Lite
incorporates the patent-pending Technology
Enabled Clothing (TEC) system and costs less than $100.
The SCOTTeVEST integrates aspects of technology, apparel
and recreational gear to allow people to discreetly hold,
conceal, and connect several electronic devices including
cell phones, GPS units, PDAs (personal digital assistant)
and CD/MP3 players without today’s mobility challenges.
"Athletes and recreational enthusiasts are challenged when
it comes to staying active, while being weighed down by
their communication devices, GPS units and even hydration
systems," said Scott Jordan, CEO and founder of TEC. "The
Sport Lite has been created in response to these challenges
as a comfortable, lighter-weight and affordable solution.
Nowadays, most runners and other athletes typically carry
MP3/CD players as well as their cellphones. The patent-pending
TEC system enables athletes to focus on their sport of choice
without worrying about wires getting in the way. We also
used Coolmax® mesh in the interior for added comfort."
Although the Sport Lite is a lower-cost alternative, it
still features most of the recent product enhancements introduced
in our Version 2.5, released earlier this year. With 16
ergonomically designed pockets, the Sport Lite version features
a simplified version of the patent pending Personal Area
Network (PAN), a Coolmax® mesh interior to keep you dry,
easy access to the back area from the front through the
side seams, a reflective safety strip, waist-adjustment,
two-way front zipper, key holder, removable sleeves, back
pocket to allow for Camelbak® water hydration systems, and
earbud holders for easy access to hands-free mobile phone
use.
"The SCOTTeVEST is a perfect combination of function and
form," commented Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA)
President, Leesa Weichert. "It combines the ability to carry
all of the things I need on a long run without the items
bouncing around in my pockets, along with the perfect apparel
design and construction; no cotton to absorb moisture, wind
resistant for cold weather running, and a washable, durable
fabric."
The Sport Lite is made from rip stop nylon for active lifestyles
due to its durability, lighter weight and water- and wind-resistance.
The eVEST not only helps men and women manage and carry
a multitude of gadgets and gizmos, but offers them a "sporty"
new look for 2003. The Sport Lite will be available in a
gun metal gray for $99.99, but is currently being pre-sold
for $89.99 until they arrive in early December.
