CEO & Co-founder

Scott E. Jordan is the co-founder and CEO of SCOTTEVEST, Inc. and its licensing subsidiary TEC-Technology Enabled Clothing, Inc. As CEO of SCOTTEVEST, Scott is involved in every aspect of the business, from engineering the perfect pocket to maintaining media relationships to the "big picture" stuff, like determining the future of the company. He started SCOTTEVEST in 2000 with his wife Laura, and has built the business from a start-up run from his guest bedroom into one of Inc.com's fastest growing companies.

Scott is no stranger to media attention. He appeared on Season Three of ABC's Shark Tank in March 2012. He has received a multitude of press in the past for his successful entrepreneurship, including write-ups in Entrepreneur magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and even several college textbooks. Before founding SCOTTEVEST, Scott practiced corporate law at DLA Piper in Chicago and acted as Vice President and General Counsel at a Next50.com, an internet start-up. He received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University (summa cum laude and Order of the Coif) and his B.A. in Business Administration (with a focus on entrepreneurship…before it was trendy) from Ohio State University. His favorite hobbies include skiing, amateur auto racing, yoga, and hiking with his wife Laura and their four standard poodles: Lucy, Chloe, Margaux, and Susie. Laura Jordan is the Co-founder, President, and General Counsel. Laura received her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she was Associate Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. She also has a B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and Philosophy from New York University. She was Vice President of the Alumni Board of the Latin School of Chicago for several years, as well as serving on the Recent Alumni Advisory Board for the University of Illinois College of Law. She is a member of Mensa. Laura's hobbies include skiing, hiking and reading. She also competes in triathlons and adventure races. She loves listening to the Grateful Dead and hanging out with Scott and their 4 standard poodles--Lucy, Chloe, Margaux and Susie.

Thom O'Leary

Chief Implementation Officer

Thom O'Leary is the Chief Implementation Officer and has been engaged with the company in various roles since 2008. His purview includes corporate strategy, operational efficiency, implementation of key initiatives and creative direction on select projects. Thom is a writer and an award-winning product designer, and has developed systems and products for the architecture/design, entertainment and defense industries. He has a degree in Anthropology from Holy Cross.

Lauren Bertelson

Technical Designer

Lauren Bertelson is the Technical Designer for SCOTTEVEST. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design from The Art Institute of Indianapolis. Although Lauren spent most of her life in Indiana, she has lived all over the United States. Her most recent adventure has brought her to Ketchum, where she is enjoying the stunning scenery and, not to mention, her dream job. Lauren enjoys baking, film noir, hiking, canoeing, traveling, music, and spending time with her amazing daughter, Evelyn.

Lauren Bourgeau

Lauren “Lo” Bourgeau

Social Media/Marketing Coordinator

Lauren is our Social Media/Marketing Coordinator. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business-Marketing and a minor in Art from The College of Idaho. Lauren played volleyball for the nationally ranked Coyotes for four seasons, and helped C of I qualify for the NAIA National Tournament her last three seasons. Lauren was born in Ottawa, Canada, lived in Boise Idaho, and spent many days of her childhood visiting family in the Sun Valley area. Lauren enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, skiing, and traveling. Lauren took her SCOTTEVEST on the trip of her life when she toured Italy, Croatia, Spain and France in the fall of 2011.

Nicole Bozek

Nicole Bozek

Customer Service Administrator

Nicole is one of our Customer Service Representatives. She recently graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a master’s degree in business administration. Nicole played basketball for the Nanooks where she was an Academic All-American and finished as one of five players in Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) history to record at least 1,100 points, 600 rebounds and 400 made free throws as she finished her basketball career with 1,203 points, 633 rebounds and 426 free throws. Nicole is excited to live in the Sun Valley area after spending five years in the cold, long dark winters. The coldest weather she’s ever experienced was -53.

Graphic Designer

Jen Hallyburton is one of the in-house Graphic Designers for SCOTTEVEST. Jen moved from Boise, Idaho where she was born and raised. She has bachelor’s degrees in communications and graphic design from Boise State University. Since 2009, she has volunteered and served as a board member for the non-profit, Boise Bicycle Project. Prior to working at SCOTTEVEST, she was a graphic designer at ICON Design and Northwest Lineman College. Excited to be in Ketchum, you’ll find Jen biking the trails, hiking up Idaho's nine 12,000 feet mountain peaks, tearing up the the mountain on her snowboard, and romping around with her two dogs.

Anna Hesketh

Anna Hesketh

Customer Service Representative

Anna is the latest addition to the SCOTTEVEST customer service team. She recently graduated from the University of Huddersfield, England. She moved to Idaho to do an internship in customer services and just recently married her long time American travel partner to settle down. Anna picked up the travel bug in 2009 whilst working at Yellowstone National Park. Since then she has walked over 800 miles of the National Trails in England, cycle toured around Europe and is currently planning a backpacking honeymoon in Rome, Italy.

HR Manager

Kristina Kind is a consultant responsible for the HR department at SCOTTEVEST. She moved to Sun Valley in 2007 from Stockholm, Sweden. She has an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics and is currently pursuing her Masters in Psychology. Kristina has lived in Tokyo, Seoul, and Stockholm allowing her the opportunity to learn several languages, and accumulate valuable cultural experiences. During her professional career she gained expertise in talent management, employer branding, and executive search. Kristina lives with her husband and two children and enjoys skiing, hiking with her dog, yoga, and all that nature has to offer in Sun Valley.

Kevin Lewis

Kevin Lewis is our in-house Graphic Designer. Kevin graduated from the University of Idaho in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and spent a year studying and living abroad at the Universitat de Valencia in Valencia, Spain. While in college, Kevin spent his summer vacations honing his production and typography experience in the advertising department of Coeur d'Alene Press. After college he went to work at Banner Marketing, a marketing company specializing in furniture companies such as Ashley Furniture HomeStore, Lane and Broyhill in Liberty Lake, WA. In 2008 Kevin relocated to Boise, ID and took an internship at the award-winning Boise design firm Mitchell + Palmer. Kevin loves to travel abroad, watch old movies, play video games and drink good beer.

Marketing Implementer

Marshall is our Marketing Implementer. He is an Idaho native who attended Washington and Lee University for Journalism.Since college he has worked as the Promotions Director at a cluster of radio stations and as the GM/Business and Marketing Director of a golf course. He is a University of Kentucky basketball fanatic and has been since he was a little kid. Marshall likes to ski, hike, fish, and is always up for any adventure with his wife and his two dogs, a yellow lab mix and a St. Bernard/Border Collie Mix named “Mayhem.” He is excited to make the Ketchum area his home, as he has long considered it his “home away from home” and even proposed to his wife on the ice rink in Sun Valley.

Sherri is SCOTTEVEST's Production Manager. Sherri graduated from St. Maries High School in St. Maries, Idaho, in 1985. She moved to Sun Valley, Idaho in 1986, looking for fun and adventure. She found fun and adventure here, along with her husband, Rick. Sherri has worked for Sun Valley Company, Atkinsons, Gem State Roofing and has found her home here with SCOTTEVEST. She likes to do arts and crafts, trap shooting, photography, skiing and fishing. She lives in Hailey with her husband, Rick, son, Elijah and BIG Mastiff dog, Angus.

Steve Wozniak co-founder of Apple, Inc. is on our Board of Advisors, and the inspiration for our famous iPod Spoof.   A Silicon Valley icon and philanthropist for the past three decades, Steve Wozniak helped shape the computing industry with his design of Apple's first line of products, the Apple I and II, and influenced the popular Macintosh. For his achievements at Apple Computer, Steve was awarded the National Medal of Technology by the President of the United States in 1985, the highest honor bestowed on America's leading innovators. In 2000, Steve was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame and was awarded the prestigious Heinz Award for Technology, The Economy and Employment for "single-handedly designing the first personal computer and for then redirecting his lifelong passion for mathematics and electronics toward lighting the fires of excitement for education in grade school students and their teachers." Making significant investments of both his time and resources in education, Wozniak "adopted" the Los Gatos School District, providing students and teachers with hands-on teaching and donations of state-of-the-art technology equipment. Wozniak founded the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and was the founding sponsor of the Tech Museum, Silicon Valley Ballet and Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. Steve Wozniak is currently executive vice president, chief technology officer and chief visionary officer for Jazz Technologies, Inc. (formerly Acquicor Technology Inc.), which recently acquired Jazz Semiconductor. He co-founded the company with two other former Apple executives, Gilbert F. Amelio and Ellen M. Hancock. The company produces analog and mixed-signal semiconductor devices using specialty process technologies, including silicon germanium processes. Integrating analog and digital components on a single, mixed-signal semiconductor enables smaller and more highly integrated, power-efficient, feature-rich and cost-effective semiconductor devices. Kenneth 'Hap' Klopp

Kenneth "Hap" Klopp is the Chairman of the Board of Advisors. Among his many exploits, Mr. Klopp was the founder of The North Face, where he served as President and CEO for 20 years. During that time The North Face was honored with many awards for being the best managed company in its industry, including being lauded by Business Week Magazine for providing one of the highest quality products of any company in the United States. Mr. Klopp led The North Face to its position as the largest and most successful company in its industry and one of the largest privately held companies in the San Francisco East Bay. Adventurer and executive, Hap Klopp has run numerous companies and spoken around the world on adventuring, leadership, entrepreneurship and the human side of management. Among other achievements, he established the mountaineering and backpacking industry through the development of his own company, The North Face, and along the way was highlighted on national television and in such publications as BusinessWeek, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine, Success, and San Francisco Focus Magazine. After selling his highly successful company, he began an international management consulting firm with offices in Berkeley, CA and Tokyo, Japan. Prior to his role as CEO of Built, Carter spent 7 years as a tech venture capitalist. He was previously a member of corporate venture capital fund Hollinger Capital, where he made successful investments in consumer internet companies. Chad’s hobbies include spending time with his wife and two sons, grilling Pacific NW cuisine, hiking, sea kayaking and reading a myriad of books and articles.

Ed Allen serves on our board of advisors. He advises SeV on growth initiatives including merger and acquisition strategies. Ed has over 25 years of experience with extensive domestic and international experience in driving overall business performance. Most recently Ed served as Executive Vice President/Co-Owner of Dedicated Computing LLC where they designed and manufactured embedded computing solutions for OEM's. In addition, he served on the Intel Board of Advisors for North America and is currently a Board Director at Eclipse Design Technologies. Prior to joining Dedicated Computing, Ed served as Executive Vice President and President of Bossard North America which was formed by merging three companies into one business. Under his leadership as President of Bossard Milwaukee Inc. he led a successful turnaround which set the foundation for the merger in North America. Previously, he spent over 15 years with Acer America and Arrow Electronics, where he held a number of management, sales, and marketing roles. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from The Ohio State University. He joined the Young Presidents' Organization in 2005, which is a global organization network of young chief executives that connects 17,000 peers and their families in more than 100 countries to learn and exchange ideas. David Farber is the Distinguished Career Professor of Computer Science and Public Policy at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University with secondary appointments at the Heinz School and EPP. In 2003, he retired from the University of Pennsylvania where he held the Alfred Fitler Moore Chair of telecommunications with appointments in the Engineering School and the Wharton School. . His background includes positions at the Bell Labs, the Rand Corporation, Xerox Data Systems, University of California at Irvine and the University of Delaware. From 2000 to 2001, he served as Chief Technologist for the Federal Communications Commission. He is a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Stevens Institute of Technology. Prior to his appointment to the FCC, he served on the U.S. Presidential Advisory Committee of Information Technology. In 2004, he was appointed as Chief Technologist of the National LambdaRain nation educational fiber network. He was awarded the Sigcomm Award for life long contributions to communications and Philadelphia's John Scott award for Contributions to Humanity as well as an Honorary Doctorate from Stevens.

Robert V. Taylor serves on our Board of Advisors. He currently runs his own Consulting firm R. V. Taylor Consulting, and has a professional background over (40) years as a retail executive. Beginning with May Department Stores in Denver holding positions over a (13) year period of Asst. Buyer Cosmetics, Branch store Group Manager, Women's & Junior Sportswear Buyer, Men's Furnishings Buyer. Joining The Bon Marche in Seattle (Now Macy's) in 1970 as Vice President Men's Merchandise Manager over all Men's apparel. Over an (11) year period promoted to Senior Vice President all Men's, Women's Apparel and Accessories, ending up as Executive President over all Merchandise categories Marketing and Sales Promotion. Joining Duty Free Shoppers in 1981 as Senior Vice President of Corporate Merchandising, Marketing, Sales Promotion and Store Design. Duty Free Shoppers (DFS) is the largest Duty Free operator in the world reaching a sales level of over 3 Billion dollars world wide. DFS operates Duty Free Airport shops and Downtown locations throughout the Continental U.S. And Hawaii as well as Guam, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. His interests include Boating, and riding a Harley.

Jack Cook

Jack Cook

Jack Cook is on our Board of Advisors. Jack spent 35 years teaching mathematics, worked as a Dean of Students, and completed his career as a Principal of a suburban school just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout his years in public education, the computer field has always sparked an interest in him. In his early years as a teacher, he became proficient with computers by teaching himself "BASIC" with an old HP card reader. Handheld computers soon became his passion where he eventually focused his attention on the HP iPAQ. Jack brings to the iPAQ community, news, events, and reviews that generate the same passion in iPAQ's that he has had. Retirement has not slowed Jack down, he finds himself busier today than ever before. Traveling between Massachusetts and Maine, he is continually writing, reading and working with his iPAQ. Jack has reviewed several SeV products.

Dale Closner

Dale Closner

Dale Closner serves on our Board of Advisors. Dale was in the wholesale apparel business for over thirty years. He was the regional sales manager for Gottex swim wear and also represented Christen Dior women's sportswear and Calvin Klein women's swim wear. He graduated from Portland State University after serving with the Marines in Vietnam. He now lives in Hailey, Idaho and is consulting for SeV.

Barry Moltz

Barry Moltz

Barry Moltz has founded and run small businesses with a great deal of success and failure for more than 15 years. After successfully selling his last operating business, Barry has branched out into a number of entrepreneurship-related activities. He founded an angel investor group, an angel fund, and is a former advisory member of the board of the Angel Capital Education Foundation. His first book, "You Need to Be A Little Crazy: The Truth about Starting and Growing Your Business" describes the ups and downs and emotional trials of running a business. It is in its fourth reprint and has been translated into Chinese, Russian, Korean and Thai. His second book, "Bounce! Failure, Resiliency and the Confidence to Achieve Your Next Great Success", will be published by Wiley on January 11. Barry is a nationally recognized expert on entrepreneurship who has given over 100 speeches to audiences ranging from 20 to 20,000. He was appointed by the Illinois Governor in 2005 to serve on the board of the Institute for Entrepreneurship Education (IIEE). As a member of the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame, he also has taught entrepreneurship as an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
